Dr. Clay wrote and received funding (1968) for a parental involvement program called the Career Opportunity Program, Pontiac Schools, Pontiac, MI. This program received state and national recognitions as an exemplary program for training parents to become involved in their children’s education.
Graduates from this program completed high school and many went on to complete an associated degree; others completed their college degrees and became influential leaders in their local, county and state communities.
Charter Member Nate Clay was a Deputy Superintendent in Jackson Schools, MI and he served more than three decades at the Superintendent level in Michigan City, Indiana, & Hempstead Schools, N Y.
