Charles Tucker

Career: Entrepreneur, Publisher, Politician & Civil Rights Activist
He was the publisher of the Pontiac Herald during the 1950s & 1960s. This black owned publication reached over 90% of the African-American citizens of Pontiac. Also, Charter Member Tucker was the first black owned Realty Company in Pontiac, the Charles Tucker Realty.
Brother Tucker was also a community activist. He served on many organizational boards and committees within the Pontiac & Detroit Metropolitan Communities.
He worked in government and received several appointments and positions and was a pillar of strength to the Detroit & Pontiac Communities.
